-1020% vitamin K
-Potassium
-Phosphorus
-Calcium

Would you eat it??

OF COURSE you would. Or of course you should. Kale is an amazing veggie that everyone needs to include in their diet. Look at what it contains:

  • Dietary Fiber: lowers bad levels of cholesterol
  • Vitamin A: helps with poor eyesight and gives skin a glow
  • Vitamin C: boosts immunity, and antioxidants aid the aging process
  • Vitamin K: helps deposit calcium into bones and fights calcification
  • Calcium: keeps your bones strong and healthy - this is important for women!
  • Anti-inflammatory: helps aid the aging process
  • Detox Qualities:  important for weight loss, and flushing out toxic substances from our system

How to include Kale in your diet
  • Steamed kale - you can eat it with your dinner! Skip the spinach, and broccoli and opt for Kale once a week instead.
  • Kale in your salad - add a cup of kale to your everyday salad. I eat a salad everyday with my lunch. Today I did organic kale, organic spinach, sliced strawberries and topped it off with balsamic vinaigrette.
  • Kale in your juice - add kale to your veggie juices if you are a juicer. My husband and I had it in a veggie drink last night. I wasn't thrilled about the taste, but I was estactic about all of the nutrients I received in one glass. About an hour after drinking this I felt an incredible boost of energy! And this morning I have much more energy. Use the recipe below for an energy, vitamin, antioxidant and iron rich drink!
      • 2" ginger root
      • 8 stocks of celery
      • 10 organic kale leaves
      • 1 cup organic spinach
      • 1 lemon
      • 2 organic green apples
      • 1 cucumber
Organic or no?
You want to buy organic kale because of the many pesticides found on kale. Some fruits and vegetables do not need to be purchased organic. Save yourself money by knowing which fruits and veggies can be purchased normally. Save your health by knowing which ones should be purchased organic. Kale is one that should be purchased organic.

My husband and I purchased it from Vons and difference in price was $0.20 more expensive. That is nothing.

How to store?

Once you purchase kale, wash and store in a ziplock bag. Keep from 2-5 days. It has to be used quickly for best results!
