Today Chelsyea and I were talking about hair products and she asked me which gel I like better: flax seed or eco styler. I told her that I like them both, but that they are different.
Flax Seed Gel
I use flax seed gel to set braids, twists, and flat twists. It provides a soft hold and defines my curl pattern. My hair isn’t crunchy or hard after using it. It just gives it shine and a soft hold. Also, it is moisturizing because I add essential oils to my flax seed gel. Here is my hair with flax seed gel.
I have held down my hair with this before but it didn’t give a firm hold- just enough to pull it into a presentable style. You can see in the back how its still pretty curly. But no frizz. That's what I like!
Eco Styler Gel
“The big guns!” This stuff is awesome when I need a firm hold on my edges. It holds my hair down without any frizz or flyaways. Also, it doesn’t flake or cause build up. I am also sure to make sure my hair has been properly moisturized and sealed before I apply eco styler gel to avoid drying out my hair. I don’t know if its possible but I sure don’t want to risk it!
So which one to use?
It depends on the style! So I keep both of them around so that I have options. I hope that this was helpful!!
